Job summary

Netflix is seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional programs in the Ads Platform space. You will collaborate with product, engineering, design, and data science to deliver complex technical solutions that scale with our advertising systems and monetization strategy.

The role requires a track record of managing large software projects, driving strategic technical direction, and effectively communicating across senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technical program management experience.
  • Ad tech expertise building and scaling media planning, campaign management, forecasting, and inventory management systems.
  • Proven experience driving large-scale software projects, defining technical strategies, and building scalable solutions.
  • Deep understanding of product growth and discovery solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to audience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple complex cross-functional programs with product, engineering, design, and data science to deliver technical solutions.
  • Provide deep domain expertise to form sound technical strategies with engineering partners.
  • Drive clarity and engagement with cross-functional partners to align roadmaps and priorities.
  • Decompose requirements into technical plans with milestones, optimize scope and schedule, and manage risks.
  • Influence improvement of underlying technologies, architectures and operations based on insights.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple complex cross-functional programs, in collaboration with product, engineering, design, and data science, that deliver technical solutions.
  • Provide deep domain expertise to form sound technical strategies with engineering partners.
  • Drive clarity and engagement with cross-functional partners to align roadmaps and weigh in on relative priority.
  • Work to decompose requirements into technical execution plans with measurable milestones, effectively optimize scope and schedule, manage cross-functional dependencies, and proactively manage risks.
  • Leverage the insights and experience from this work to influence the improvement of underlying technologies, architectures, and operations.
  • Craft clear communication of progress toward goals, reporting status to stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of technical program management experience
  • Ad tech expertise building and scaling media planning, campaign management, forecasting, and inventory management systems.
  • Proven experience driving large-scale software projects, managing the definition of technical strategies, and building long-term scalable solutions
  • Deep understanding and point of view on product growth and discovery solutions
  • Highly skilled, experienced, and enjoys orchestrating multiple programs with many moving parts and creating partnerships with cross-functional teams
  • Able to identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches, and weigh in on product vs. technology tradeoffs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate business impact and technical constraints tailored to the audience
  • Self-starter who enjoys tackling 0 to 1 problem spaces and quickly bringing organization and direction
  • Exemplify the Netflix culture by understanding, advocating, and demonstrating its values.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $420,000.00 - $630,000.00.
