Job summary

Peraton in Herndon, VA seeks a Technical Program Manager to oversee the operational aspects of complex projects and to serve as a liaison among project management, planning, and line management. Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years' relevant experience or Master's with 8 years.
  • Familiarity with COTS applications and related engineering, development, integration, and sustainment activities.
  • Experience with Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environments.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and logistics staff.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and system integration.
  • Experience managing budgets, labor costs, and other direct costs, including travel and training.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s +10 years relevant experience OR a Master's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Familiarity with COTS Applications, and related engineering, development, integration, and sustainment activities.
  • Experience with Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environments.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and logistics staff.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and system integration.
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks as part of a formal risk management program.
  • Experience managing budgets, labor costs, and other direct costs, including travel and training.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)certification or equivalent
  • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks independently
  • Meets SLA response times under high-priority situations
  • Strong written/verbal communication

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
