Job summary

Loft Orbital Solutions is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our Infrastructure team and help deliver complex work efficiently and predictably. You’ll bring structure to a highly cross-functional environment, coordinate workloads, support global on-call operations, and ensure risks and dependencies are visible and managed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical program/project management experience in SW and Service Operations.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience facilitating Agile development teams (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to develop processes and automate where possible.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; capable of influencing others without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop materials for an executive audience.
  • Ability to travel at least once per quarter for cross-office collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Support Cloud, Test and Space Infrastructure teams in workload management, program delivery and cross-functional coordination.

Loft Orbital is making space simple by building and operating the infrastructure that enables our customers’ missions. We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our Infrastructure team and help deliver complex work efficiently and predictably.

In this role, you’ll bring structure and clarity to a highly cross-functional environment. You’ll coordinate workloads and programs, support global on-call operations, strengthen the team’s ways of working, and make sure risks, dependencies, and escalations are visible and managed. Your work will directly improve the efficiency of our engineering teams and the reliability and scalability of our satellite operations.

This is a high-autonomy role with broad visibility and significant room to shape how you work. You’ll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on how Loft manages and scales its satellite fleet while partnering with teams across Infrastructure, Operations, Solutions, Product Engineering, and other functions.

About this Role:

Must Haves:

  • Background in space industry, tech startups, organizations building both hardware and software solutions
  • Previous experience working with an international team across time zones
  • Experience in product management or working closely with product teams
  • Experience with Python or automation/scripting in software engineering environments and metric generation

$150,000 - $190,000 a year

State law requires us to tell you the base compensation range for this role, which is $150,000- $190,000 per year. This is determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we evaluate individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs.
