Overview
ModMed is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Program Manager / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead our Agile Release Train (ART). This role orchestrates quarterly PI Planning, facilitates all ART ceremonies, and drives cross-functional alignment between engineering, product, and business stakeholders. The candidate will be skilled in value stream management, dependencies, risks, and optimizing flow for traditional SDLC and iterative AI/ML lifecycles. You will partner with senior leadership to shape technical roadmaps, champion continuous improvement, and mentor teams in SAFe practices. Practical hands-on experience using generative AI tools to automate reports, derive data-driven insights, and enhance program predictability is preferred.
ART Leadership & Execution
- Own and facilitate all ART ceremonies, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and System Demos.
- Lead, coach, and mentor scrum teams to deliver PI objectives with measurable business impact.
- Drive cross-team alignment with Product Management, Engineering, and Architecture to ensure execution aligns with strategy.
- Translate Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and ensure high-visibility communication across the organization.
Value Stream & Technical Program Management
- Optimize the flow of value across the ART, proactively identifying and managing risks, dependencies, and impediments to keep delivery on track.
- Apply understanding of both traditional SDLC and iterative AI/ML development lifecycle to manage technical complexities and guide data science, engineering, and MLOps teams.
- Implement and maintain metrics, dashboards, and information radiators to measure ART health, predictability, and throughput.
- Facilitate collaboration across distributed, matrixed teams, acting as translator between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strategic Alignment & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with senior leadership to shape technical roadmaps, inform capacity planning, and assist with resource allocation.
- Champion Agile and SAFe practices and drive continuous improvement, guiding the adoption of DevOps, Release on Demand, and Lean UX across the value stream.
- Act as a thought leader and mentor, helping evolve Program Management and Agile practices within the organization.
Practical AI Skills
- AI-Powered Communication: Using GenAI tools to draft status reports, create first drafts of project plans, summarize long documents, and prepare stakeholder presentations.
- Data-Driven Insights: Using AI to analyze project data, predict potential risks, or identify bottlenecks in team workflow.
- Task Automation: Automating repetitive tasks to focus on high-value work.
