• Experience managing Agile backlogs, sprint planning and refinement.

• Strong API experience, documenting requirements and validating integrations.
• Advanced SQL for data validation, troubleshooting, and exploratory analysis.
• Experience with data-focused products and BI tools.
• Excellent communication to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support sprint planning and collaborate with engineering throughout the SDLC.

• Perform UAT for features, integrations, and APIs.
• Monitor data quality and ensure consistency across systems.
• Partner with UX/UI to improve workflows and experience.
• Create detailed acceptance criteria for functional, API, and data work.
• Support release readiness, release notes, and user guides.
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity, documentation, and testing.

CSI is seeking a Technical Product Owner - Data Products - to serve as the execution bridge between product strategy and engineering delivery.In this role : you will partner closely with Product Managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into well-defined requirements and successful product releases. You'll work on data-focused applications that provide analytics, visualization, customer segmentation, and marketing capabilities for financial institutions through modern data warehouse technologies and embedded business intelligence solutions. What You'll Do

• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to define business requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate product initiatives into well-defined epics, user stories, and technical requirements.
• Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog.
• Lead backlog refinement sessions and support sprint planning activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop a strong understanding of application architecture, data sources, APIs, and integrations.
• Write SQL queries to validate data, investigate issues, and support acceptance testing.
• Perform user acceptance testing of features, integrations, and APIs.
• Monitor data quality and validate consistency between backend systems and user-facing applications.
• Partner with UX/UI and Design teams to improve user experience and product workflows.
• Create detailed acceptance criteria for functional, API, and data-related development work.
• Support release readiness activities, documentation, release notes, and user guides.
• Leverage approved AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, Jira Rovo, or similar technologies to improve productivity, documentation, requirements gathering, and testing efficiency.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or related field preferred.
• 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within a software development environment.
• Strong experience managing Agile backlogs, sprint planning, and refinement sessions.
• Demonstrated experience writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
• Strong API experience, including documenting requirements and validating integrations.
• Advanced SQL experience, including data validation, troubleshooting, and exploratory analysis.
• Experience working with data-focused products, analytics platforms, reporting tools, or business intelligence applications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business requirements for engineering teams.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.
• Experience with embedded analytics or business intelligence tools such as Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Figma and UX/UI collaboration processes.
• Product Owner, Agile, Scrum, or Business Analysis certifications.
