As a Senior Technical Product Manager at Clarus, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pet insurance technology by delivering innovative, customer‑centric solutions to market. This role will lead product initiatives from concept through launch, partnering cross‑functionally with Engineering, Design, Operations, Marketing, and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful business impact and exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate is an execution‑oriented product leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, excels at translating complex business challenges into actionable product strategies, and is passionate about building scalable solutions that improve outcomes for veterinary teams, pet parents, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities
Product Execution & Delivery

Partner with the Director of Product to define and execute product roadmaps for assigned product areas, ensuring the timely delivery of features and enhancements. Drive product initiatives from discovery through launch and post‑launch optimization. Balance business objectives, customer needs, and technical considerations to maximize product value.

Customer & Market Insights

Conduct user research, gather customer feedback, and analyze market trends to inform product decisions and identify new opportunities. Develop a deep understanding of customer pain points and business needs to guide roadmap priorities.

Requirements & Product Documentation

Translate business requirements into detailed product requirements and user stories for design and engineering teams. Create and maintain clear product documentation to support development, testing, and release activities.

Backlog Management

Own and prioritize the product backlog, making tradeoff decisions that balance customer, operational, and business objectives. Continuously refine priorities based on customer feedback, business goals, technical constraints, and market opportunities.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Engineering, UX/UI Design, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful product development and launch execution. Facilitate alignment across stakeholders and drive decision‑making throughout the product lifecycle.

Quality & Performance Monitoring

Support product testing, quality assurance activities, and post‑launch analysis to ensure product quality and performance expectations are met. Leverage data and analytics to evaluate product success and identify areas for improvement.

Go-to-Market Support

Assist in preparing product documentation, training materials, release communications, and internal enablement resources. Support successful product launches and adoption initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably within B2B SaaS, insurance technology, fintexch, or related digital platforms.
  • Proven experience launching and enhancing commercial products or product features.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within Agile product development environments using tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Aha!, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making. Technical aptitude and the ability to effectively collaborate with software engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the insurance industry, fintech, or InsurTech environments.Pet health or pet insurance experience is a bonus.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives and modern platform development.
Education
Candidates Must Meet One Of The Following Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience (one year of relevant professional experience may substitute for one year of college education).
Accountability/Complexity
  • Works independently on complex projects and cross‑functional initiatives to address business and technical challenges. Escalates only the most significant strategic issues.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and or support employees.
Level Specific Responsibilities
  • Creates and manages product roadmaps
  • Works with Marketing to determine advertising strategy for products
  • Analyzes metrics and measures product performance
  • Manages larger projects that may consist of more than one development team
  • Works with platform development vendors to provide technical management.
  • Owns the delivery of platform and services
  • Manages product strategy and feature/capability set for business solutions
Compensation

Base pay range: $112,522– $140,653 per year. This is the range we reasonably expect to pay at hire. Placement within the range depends on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, and certifications. This position is not eligible for bonus or incentive pay. Base pay is one part of a total rewards package that includes the benefits listed below.
