Job summary

ForMotiv, a leading Digital Behavioral Intelligence platform, is seeking a Technical Product Manager to guide data science and data engineering initiatives. You will own data product roadmaps and translate complex analytics into scalable products, partnering with data scientists and engineers.

This full-time remote role requires strong technical fluency, excellent communication, and comfort in a fast-paced startup environment. Stock options and health/401k benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 5 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years owning data platform or ML-powered products for enterprise software or platform products.
• Strong technical foundation—comfortable discussing data architecture, pipelines, and data modeling, and able to write SQL to answer questions.
• Track record of working closely with data scientists and data engineers and earning their trust.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading execution in an agile environment with Jira.
• Self-motivated, proactive, organized and a willingness to learn.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
• Eagerness to wear multiple hats and lend a hand to teammates.
• Experience working on an AWS tech stack is a plus.
• A background in insurance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead product management activities for our data engineering and data science teams, including planning, development, and implementation of new data products
• Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with key stakeholders, with the ability to lead and contribute to technical discussions around data infrastructure and products
• Manage the data product backlog and lead prioritization of projects, balancing the short-term needs with the long-term data platform vision
• Plan and execute on appropriate documentation and training post-development, translating technical concepts for non-technical users
