Job summary

State Street Corporation seeks a Technical Product Manager to partner with Cyber Security Operations teams within the Global Cyber Security organization. This hybrid role (4 days in Quincy/Boston) focuses on delivering product-led, data-driven security solutions and roadmaps across Cyber Defense, Threat Hunt and Threat Intelligence.

You will own backlog grooming, sprint priorities, and release readiness, communicating tradeoffs to senior stakeholders and ensuring measurable outcomes such as

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology related discipline; 5+ years as Technical Product Manager; 3+ years Cyber Operations experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Security Frameworks and methodologies (e.g., NIST) required; Security certifications preferred (CISM/CISSP).
  • Knowledge of Confluence, Jira & MS Office Suite; familiarity with SIEM/EDR and Data Eng principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL and Databricks is a plus.

Job Description for Technical Product Manager - Cyber Operations

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to partner with our Cyber Security Operations teams. This role sits in our Cyber Product, Platforms and Engineering team within the Global Cyber Security (GCS) organization.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an evolving team as we drive the digital transformation of Security Operations into a product-led, data-driven, customer-visible service model to deliver applications, platforms, and Data & AI workstreams to support our end users and stakeholders.

What you will be responsible for
  • Partner with our Cyber Operations Teams to design and deliver solutions for end users and stakeholders from our Cyber Defense Centre, Threat Hunt and Threat Intelligence teams, building trust and bringing divergent perspectives together to reach workable outcomes.
  • Shape definition of the problem statement, value, risk, and sequencing, making and clearly communicating tradeoff decisions that are threat informed, data driven, and tied to prioritized business outcomes.
  • Focus on risk reduction, customer value, regulatory impact, and feasibility.
  • Commit and own roadmaps, dependency maps, and decision logs. These will be visible by product, quarter, owner, dependencies, and status.
  • Build solutions by owning backlog grooming, sprint priorities and release readiness ensuring execution status is visible by milestones, blockers and decisions needed, adapting quickly as priorities and requirements evolve.
  • Measure with outcome orientated scorecards and roadmap refreshes with success based on benefits realized: adoption, coverage, MTTR, control efficacy, reduced friction.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in technology related technical discipline / Cyber related qualification preferred. Years of experience: 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager. 3+ years of Cyber Operations experience preferred.

  • Certifications required or preferred: Knowledge of Security Frameworks and methodologies (e.g., NIST) required. Security certifications preferred (e.g., CISM/CISSP).
  • Knowledge of tools or technologies: Expertise in Confluence, Jira & MS Office Suite.
  • Tool Stack Acumen: Deep familiarity with SIEM, EDR, Data Engineering principles and practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL and Databricks is a plus.
Work Requirement

Hybrid Work: Requirement: 4 days in office (Quincy, Boston) Shift Time: Regular office hours.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $120,000 - $202,500 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
