Job summary

Paramount Pictures in Burbank, CA is seeking a Technical Product Manager for Content Systems Automation to shape the automation strategy for our content tooling powering Paramount+. You will learn the manual workflows of partner teams and build the right solutions to solve the right problems at the right time.

In this role you will map end-to-end data flows, drive process automation for rights, title and media asset management, and lead agile ceremonies with cross‑functional partners to deliver

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of software product management experience with a focus on delivering business value.
  • Ability to map and visualize end-to-end interconnected systems to automate across workflows.
  • Proven passion for building workflow tools that are a joy to use for internal teams.
  • Deep comfort with complex technical workflow systems; AI/ML background is a plus.
  • Interest in streaming media and content supply chain; strong cross-team collaboration.
  • Hands-on Agile experience with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Video and Content Operations to identify gaps in the content supply chain and translate them into an automation plan.
  • Map how content systems connect end to end — data flows, handoffs, dependencies — and identify automation opportunities.
  • Guide product development of Content Systems, focusing on rights, title, and media asset management.
  • Find and roll out AI-driven solutions to improve operations, such as metadata extraction and automated QC.
  • Write clear technical scope, use cases, workflows, and sequence diagrams.
  • Lead scrum activities including grooming, planning, and prioritization.
  • Coordinate with product, tech, and operations stakeholders for global launches.

Overview:

As a member of the Paramount+ Content Systems Product team, you will help shape the automation strategy for our tools and systems. These are the systems that power our global streaming experiences. You will play a key role in keeping Paramount+ running efficiently. We are growing to millions of new subscribers around the world! This team cares about solving problems and improving workflows for the people we work with each day. Together, we build forward‑looking tools that scale right along with our business.

Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Partner with Video and Content Operations to learn where the gaps are in our content supply chain. Then turn those needs into a clear automation plan we can act on.
  • Systems Mapping: Map how our content systems connect from end to end - data flows, handoffs, and dependencies. Then use that picture to find where and how to automate.
  • Process Automation: Guide the product development of our Content Systems. This includes rights, title, and media asset management. Your sharp focus: automate manual, high‑touch workflows!
  • AI & Innovation: Find and roll out AI‑driven solutions that help our operations teams work more effectively. Think automated metadata extraction, AI‑assisted QC, and auto‑created localized assets!
  • Technical Documentation: Share a clear vision for technical work. Write up scope, use cases, workflows, and sequence diagrams.
  • Agile Execution: Lead scrum team activities such as grooming, planning, and setting priorities. That way, our development teams always have what they need to succeed.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Bring partners in product, tech, and operations together on delivery scope. Then get set for exciting global launches!
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience: 2-4 years in software product management. You know how to put business value first and weigh trade‑offs.
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to map and visualize how complex, interconnected systems work together end to end - understanding not just individual tools but the relationships between them - in order to identify where and how to automate across the workflow.
  • Automation Mindset: A proven passion for building workflow tools. You want them to be a "joy to use" for internal teams!
  • Technical Depth: Deep comfort with complex technical workflow systems. Engineering experience or a background in AI/ML is a big plus.
  • Domain Knowledge: A strong interest in the streaming media world and the content supply chain.
  • Collaboration: You build caring, trusting relationships across teams. This helps product work run smoothly, even in a complex space.
  • Agile Expertise: Lots of hands‑on Agile experience. You also have excellent communication skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $98,000.00 - 115,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.
