Job summary

Prompt is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own the roadmap for APIs, EHR integrations, and interoperability initiatives—bridging engineering, product, and go-to-market teams within healthcare.

You will drive the Open API roadmap, manage EHR integrations end-to-end, and help grow the Kno2 integration to unlock interoperability capabilities. You will serve as the technical POC on sales and partner calls and lead the Patient Portal development.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience with healthcare APIs, FHIR and HL7.
• Experience owning/opening public APIs.
• Experience integrating with major EHRs such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects.
• Comfortable in client-facing sales, customer, and partner calls.
• Detailed knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
• Experience with Scrum and Agile product development.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Prompt's Open API roadmap, prioritizing enhancements that expand what partners and customers can build on our platform

• Manage Prompt's EHR integrations end-to-end, ensuring reliable, standards‑based connectivity with major electronic health record systems

• Own and grow Prompt's partnership with Kno2, driving continued enhancement of the integration and the interoperability capabilities it unlocks

• Serve as the technical product point of contact on sales, customer, and partner calls involving EHR integrations or other API‑based integrations

• Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of Prompt's Patient Portal

• Help oversee and guide Prompt's DevOps roadmap in close partnership with engineering

• Maintain deep, current knowledge of CEHRT certification and CMS Interoperability Pledge requirements, ensuring Prompt's products stay ahead of evolving regulatory and interoperability standards

• Coordinate multiple cross‑functional initiatives simultaneously across product, engineering, and external partners

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience working with healthcare APIs, FHIR, HL7, and key healthcare data flows

• Experience managing or owning an open/public API

• Experience integrating with major EHRs such as Epic, Cerner (Oracle Health), and Athena health

• Proven ability to manage multiple cross‑functional projects at once

• Comfortable being client‑facing and participating in sales, customer, and partner calls

• Detailed knowledge of HIPAA requirements

• Strong communication skills and the ability to comfortably articulate your thoughts and decisions, including with senior leadership

• Experience with Scrum and Agile product development methodologies

Preferred (nice-to-have) Qualifications

• Experience with a Direct Secure Messaging interface

• Experience with CMS CEHRT requirements and testing

• Experience managing projects in Asana

• Prior experience at an EMR or EHR company
