Technical Product Development and Project Manager: Electronic Engineer

The Technical Product and QA Manager plans, executes, and delivers electronic product development projects by managing timelines, quality and resources, ensuring adherence to scope, coordinating internal/external cross functional teams. The iPowerUp products involve use of mechanical designs, embedded systems, software, firmware, hardware, BLE, mobile apps and IoT.

The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with a deep understanding of electronic principles and a passion for staying abreast of the latest technological advancements. The Company’s solar charging of micro device technology is likely to expand across several segmentsincluding military equipment, Industrial equipment, Wearables, agritech and mobile phones, offering a great opportunity for exponential growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Creating and implementing R&D project plans, analyzing risks, tracking milestones, resolving problems, and serving as the primary liaison between the technical staff and directing companies’ 3rd party contractors as needed.
  • Develop and implement test plans: Create and execute test plans and procedures for existing and new products. identify test equipment for AQL inspection and identifying internal test procedures and additional equipment utilized for development of new products.
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits: Perform quality control inspections and audits on components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 61508 / ISO 26262).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with design, production, and other teams to identify quality risks, implement corrective actions and resolve issues.
  • Analyze and document quality data: Analyze quality data, generate reports, and maintain detailed documentation of all QA activities.
  • Root cause analysis: Perform root cause analysis on defects and work to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Strategize and Maintain test equipment: Establish strategy of testing, source the right testing equipment, ensure the proper calibration, maintenance and reliable operation of all test equipment onsite and with outsourced vendors.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and product enhancement through continuous improvement initiatives.
We would love to have you join our team if you have:
  • At Least 8+ years of experience designing and technical product management for electronic products, preferably consumer electronics with multilayer PCBs.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or preferably Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronic system design, product development processes for electronics firmware, software and hardware with familiarity of microcontroller platforms.
  • Project Management Expertise: Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and scope, managing outsourced engineering teams, with skills in risk management and problem-solving.
  • QA Management and Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, circuit design, analog, and digital electronic components. Proficient in using electronic test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, DITMCO Wiring Analyzer.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to effectively guide and motivate a team
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting procedures and reports.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with quality management software, data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab), Project Management software, Agile, and general Microsoft Office suite. Experience with digital and physical prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Arduino, CAD, motion simulation) is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Professional certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodology can be beneficial.
