Job summary

Hach Company in Loveland, Colorado, is hiring for a Service Team role supporting customers in a technical capacity. The position is 1st shift, onsite, Monday through Friday, with an 8.5 hour workday including a 30‑minute lunch break.

The role reports to the Manager, Technical Support and requires at least 2 years of customer service or technical support experience, plus knowledge of analytical chemistry or environmental sciences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in customer service, technical support, field service, and/or supervision.
  • Minimum 1 year in one or more key markets (drinking water, wastewater, industrial).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Environment Sciences or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Handle basic incoming technical and customer support questions from internal and external customers, providing prompt, accurate answers.
  • Identify and manage customer escalations and use cross-functional relationships to negotiate win‑win solutions.
  • Provide efficient, technical troubleshooting support on testing systems and Hach chemistry methods.
  • Act as a liaison between Technical Support and cross‑functional departments to relay VOC and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify sales opportunities, understand industries and products, and submit leads for up‑selling and cross‑selling.

This is an onsite role and will be part of the Service Team in our Loveland, Colorado location. This is for 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 8.5 hours including a ½ hour for lunch.

Reporting to the Manager, Technical Support, the Technical Product Advisor II will provide world-class service and support to all internal and external customers via the contact center. The Technical Product Advisor II will be successful through mentoring and leadership within the department, and by having an advanced understanding of internal systems, products and applications, soft skills, vertical markets and sales lead identification.

In this role, a typical day will look like:
  • Handle basic incoming technical and customer support questions from internal and external customers providing prompt, accurate answers.
  • Identify and manage customer escalations and utilize cross-functional relationships to negotiate ‘win-win’ solutions.
  • Provide efficient, technical troubleshooting support on testing systems and Hach chemistry methods.
  • Act as a liaison between Technical Support and all cross-functional departments to relay Voice of Customer, (VOC), and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify sales opportunities, understand the industries, vertical markets, and products, and submit leads to drive appropriate up-sell and cross-sell opportunities to the customer.
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, technical support, field service, and/or previous supervisor experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in one or more of Hach’s key markets (drinking water, wastewater, and industrial).
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Environment Sciences or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with MS Office.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
It would be an asset if you have:
  • BA or BS degree preferred.
  • Electrical and Mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Oracle (ERP) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior call center experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in expectations, metrics, and environment as business needs demand.

We anticipate this requisition will be open for a minimum of five days, though it may be open for a longer period of time.

The compensation range for this role is $27.00 - $30.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
