Job summary

Protecnium in Miami, FL seeks a Technical Operations & Survey Support Specialist to join our team. You will support field teams, coordinate mobilizations, onboarding, and project continuity across active projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Geomatics/Surveying or Civil Eng degree, with experience in total stations, GNSS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related software. Strong communication, independent work, and willingness to travel across the United States are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geomatics, Surveying, geospatial, or civil engineering.
• Experience with total stations and GNSS equipment.
• Proficiency in topographic processing and modeling software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide field and project support on active projects.

Job description

Protecniumis an international firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for aTechnical Operations & Survey Support Specialist to join our team in Miami, Florida.

-Starting Date: to be determined

-Language and Level Required: English, High-Intermediate (B2), Advanced C1 (Must), Spanish (Native) (Must).

-Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly-

-Responsibilities:

• Temporary coverage of technical positions on active projects.
• Support during staffing transitions, absences, and urgent project needs.
• Assistance during project start-up and mobilization phases.
• Technical support for field teams and project personnel.
• Participation in project onboarding and operational continuity efforts.

-Business Development Support:

• Participation in client meetings and project visits.
• Technical support during proposals and business development activities.
• Identification of new opportunities and service improvements.
• Contribution to strengthening the company’s presence in the U.S. market.

-Operations & Logistics Support:

• Coordination of personnel mobilizations and demobilizations.
• Support in onboarding processes and project deployments.
• Monitoring operational requirements across multiple projects.
• Coordination of vehicles, equipment, and project resources.

-Talent Support:

• Participation in technical interviews and candidate evaluations.
• Support during recruitment and selection processes.
• Assistance with onboarding and integration of new hires.
• Initial mentoring and technical guidance for newly assigned personnel.

-Requirements:

• Degree in Geomatics Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Geospatial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in heavy civil infrastructure projects (highways, bridges, tunnels, rail, utilities, or similar large-scale works).
• Ability to integrate quickly into active construction projects and assume responsibilities from day one.
• Experience using Total Stations, GNSS systems, and modern surveying equipment; proficiency with topographic processing and modeling software; working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with Trimble Business Center, Leica Infinity, OpenRoads, MicroStation, or similar software (highly desirable).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BIM models, and technical documentation.
• Strong work ethic, growth mindset, and willingness to learn.

• High adaptability, flexibility, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
