Technical Marketing Manager – Silicon Photonics

We’ve partnered on an exclusive basis with a global semiconductor leader to find a highly technical Silicon Photonics specialist who is interested in stepping into the commercial side of the business.

This isn’t a traditional marketing role. Instead, we’re looking for someone with deep technical expertise who wants to work directly with customers, influence product strategy and help shape the future of optical connectivity.

You’ll join an experienced commercial team, providing the technical expertise while developing your own commercial knowledge and becoming a trusted advisor to some of the world’s leading technology companies.

The Opportunity

Our client is making significant investments in Silicon Photonics and optical connectivity technologies for next-generation AI infrastructure and high-speed data centre networking. You’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s largest customers, influencing technology roadmaps, defining technical solutions and helping drive the commercial success of an exciting and rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert for Silicon Photonics solutions during customer engagements.
• Work closely with strategic customers to understand technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
• Support business development and commercial activities through your technical expertise.
• Influence product strategy and technology roadmaps based on customer and market requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management and commercial teams to bring new Silicon Photonics technologies to market.
• Represent the business at customer meetings, technical workshops and industry events.

You’ll bring experience in areas such as:

• Silicon Photonics and Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs)
• Optical interconnects, co-packaged optics or optical communications
• Silicon photonics design, process integration, packaging or manufacturing
• Semiconductor foundry processes and advanced manufacturing
• Product development from concept through production
• Cross-functional collaboration and strong technical communication skills
