Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions seeks a Technical Marketing Manager/Engineer to design rack-level demonstrations and showcase copper and optical interconnects for AI/ML workloads. You will translate innovations into compelling live demos for hyperscale customers and industry partners.

You will work with marketing and engineering teams to ensure demos are production-ready and aligned with major events like DesignCon and OFC.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Applications/solutions engineer or technical marketing role with hardware integration.
• Technical: Ethernet, PCIe and related standards; ability to script demo environments (Python, Bash, Ansible).
• Soft: strong presentation skills; experience supporting trade shows or technical marketing campaigns; cross-functional collaboration.

Position Summary: Technical Marketing Manager/Engineer

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters is located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking Technical Marketing Engineer to join our team.

Amphenol is seeking a Technical Marketing Manager/Engineer to play a pivotal role in enabling the adoption of next-generation interconnect solutions. A centerpiece of this role will be the creation and delivery of rack-level system mock-ups and live demonstrations for AI/ML applications, showing how Amphenol's broad portfolio of copper and optical interconnects comes together to power scalable, high-performance infrastructure. These rack-level demonstrations will serve to accelerate ecosystem adoption, industry partners, helping to validate new architectures, serve as customer proof points, and promote emerging technologies across the data center and AI landscape.

You will work closely with hyperscale customers, ecosystem leaders, and internal marketing and engineering teams to translate technology innovation into compelling demonstrations that highlight Amphenol's differentiated value. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who wants to combine technical expertise with market influence, directly shaping how data centers, AI fabrics, and high-performance computing systems are designed, deployed, and adopted worldwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Marketing Leadership:
  • Design, build, and maintain rack-level demonstration environments that showcase company products and solutions.
  • Partner with product management, solution architects, and field engineers to develop demonstration scenarios that highlight product value.
  • Support marketing campaigns, customer roadshows, and trade shows by preparing and deploying technical demo environments.
  • Collaborate with the events and marketing teams to ensure demos are production-ready, reliable, and visually impactful
• Collaboration & Advocacy:
  • Work with industry partners, customers, and internal teams to ensure interoperability and standards alignment.
  • Collect and integrate customer and field feedback to continuously improve demonstration effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to prepare and release promotional materials for new standards and technology aligned with major industry events (e.g. DesignCon, OFC, OCP Summit, etc.)
• Documentation and Communication:
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert during customer-facing events and presentations.
  • Contribute to technical papers and represent Amphenol at conferences.
  • Manage logistics of demo environments, including hardware setup, software integration, and remote monitoring.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Experience in an Applications Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Marketing role
  • Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure, hardware integration, networking, and storage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Conversant in Ethernet, PCIe, and related standards documentation.
  • Ability to script or automate demo environments (Python, Bash, Ansible, etc.) a plus.
  • Experience with interoperability testing tools and platforms.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex technology in simple, compelling ways.
  • Experience supporting trade shows or technical marketing campaigns is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Comfortability and interest to prepare technical papers and present to large audiences.
  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies, orchestration, and cloud-native environments.
  • Experience supporting trade shows or technical marketing campaigns is strongly preferred.
  • Certification/extensive knowledge in Ethernet, PCIe, or other relevant standards.

The base salary range for this position is $90,750 – $150,870 USD annually. In determining rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits effective day 1, vacation, sick leave, personal days, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and matching 401K.
