Technical Manager - Enterprise Datawarehouse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Manager to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Enterprise data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate will manage technical teams, oversee data integration projects, and ensure the delivery of high-performance, scalable, and reliable data warehousing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Leadership: Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level data warehouse solutions. Develop and execute data warehousing strategies that align with business objectives. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the team.
  • Data Integration and ETL Management: Oversee the development and optimization of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Ensure efficient data extraction from multiple sources and accurate data transformation. Manage data quality, security, and governance standards.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Plan, schedule, and execute data warehousing projects, ensuring timely delivery. Manage budgets, resources, and risk mitigation strategies for projects.
  • Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of database administrators, data engineers, and analysts. Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and promote professional development.
  • Technology and Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing and big data. Evaluate and implement new tools and methodologies to improve data warehousing processes. Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and scalability.
  • Operational Management: Monitor and maintain the health of data warehouse systems, ensuring high availability. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Create documentation for processes, systems, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 12+ years of experience in data warehousing, with 4+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proficiency in data warehousing concepts, ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend), and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake).
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proven experience with agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
