SGS North America Inc. is seeking a Technical Manager to provide technical and regulatory expertise across consumer product categories including toys, furniture, and home goods. You will interpret regulations, develop test plans, and support sales with technical insights.

Responsibilities include mentoring laboratory staff, preparing compliance documentation, and delivering training to clients and internal teams while ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years in testing laboratory or consumer product compliance.
• Experience with US/Canada consumer product regulations.
• Active participation in standards bodies (e.g., ASTM/ISO).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects.

Responsabilités

• Serve as SME on consumer product safety and testing requirements.
• Interpret US/Canada regulations and standards for clients.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends.
• Provide technical support to sales and BD teams.
• Mentor lab personnel and provide technical guidance.
• Develop training programs and customer materials.
• Ensure projects meet timelines and client expectations.
