Job summary

Apleona GmbH is seeking an experienced Technical Services Maintenance Manager to lead our technical services team across client sites in the Midlands, with travel to other locations. The role combines operational leadership with energy management, P&L oversight, and strong client relations.

You will drive energy efficiency, oversee maintenance planning, ensure CDM and SHE compliance, and report on performance to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Proven experience as Technical Account Manager or similar in FM.
• Strong financial acumen with multi-million-pound budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
• MS Office, CAFM and Navision proficiency.
• FM or business qualification desirable.
• Knowledge of mobile hard services and SFG20 standards desirable.
• Valid UK driving licence with access to personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

Technical Services Maintenance Manager

Location – Midlands, preferably Northampton area. Travel required to other locations

Permanent/ Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Maintenance Manager to lead our technical services team, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with QSHE standards across our high-profile client sites. You will manage complex projects, drive energy efficiency initiatives, and oversee financial performance while maintaining strong client relationships.

You’ll take ownership of energy management initiatives to reduce consumption and drive cost efficiencies, oversee planned preventative maintenance and prioritize reactive tasks, and manage complex projects to completion on time and within budget in line with CDM and SHE regulations. In addition, you will be responsible for the commercial performance of the contract, including P&L management, vendor relationships, and accurate monthly reporting. A key part of the role involves developing and motivating your team to achieve strategic objectives, while building strong client relationships and representing the business at regular performance meetings.

As an Apleona Technical Services Maintenance Manager, we’re looking for:

• City & Guilds qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC
• IOSH Managing Safely certification
• Proven experience as a Technical Account Manager or similar role within the FM Industry
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-pound budgets
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, CAFM, and Navision systems
• Professional FM or business qualification (desirable)
• Knowledge of mobile hard services and SFG20 standards (desirable)
• Valid UK Driving license with access to personal vehicle
