Job summary

Worthington Steel is seeking an experienced Technical Lead for Full-Stack Development to guide design, development, and enhancement of enterprise applications. This is a hands-on leadership role focusing on production-quality code, API integrations, and cross-functional collaboration.

The role supports a manufacturing-focused organization with MES and shop floor connectivity, including IoT concepts. Remote-tempo with occasional on-site work in Monroe, MI and Detroit metro area is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise application development.
• Hands-on with software development while providing technical leadership and mentoring.
• Strong hands-on experience developing modern front-end applications using Angular or React.
• Strong back-end development experience using .NET and ASP.NET Core.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a hands-on technical lead who designs, develops, tests, debugs, and maintains scalable enterprise applications while actively contributing production-quality code.
• Write high-quality code across front-end, back-end, API, database, and integration layers.
• Provide technical direction and make key decisions related to application architecture, solution design, development standards, and technology selection.
• Build responsive and user-friendly front-end solutions using frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Develop back-end services, APIs, and integrations using .NET and related technologies.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into practical and maintainable solutions.
• Design and maintain REST APIs and integrations between enterprise systems, databases, manufacturing platforms, and external services.
