Job summary

IPT Associates (IPTA) seeks a Technical Lead for Data Science and AI/ML to steer the data science/AI workstream, collaborate with engineers and analysts, and deliver AI/ML solutions for Army-related modernization efforts.

You'll lead a team of data scientists and developers, design decision-making models, and measure impact using defined success metrics, employing Power BI and Palantir platforms to drive strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in data science, analytics, or AI/ML delivery with leadership.
• Advanced data science expertise in AI/ML models and decision-making frameworks.
• Experience with Power BI and Palantir Foundry.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Ability to communicate value to senior stakeholders.
• DoD/Army environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical leadership for the data science and AI/ML workstream supporting U.S. Army enterprise data modernization on Palantir Foundry, planning, directing, and coordinating the work of data scientists, engineers, and developers
• Forms, designs, and delivers AI/ML-based decision-making frameworks and models that drive business and mission outcomes
• Measures and justifies the value of AI/ML-based solutions through defined metrics, model performance evaluation, and outcome analysis
• Applies advanced statistical analysis to evaluate data, validate models, and inform recommendations to customer leadership
• Utilizes data analytics tools such as Power BI, Palantir Foundry, and Palantir AIP to engineer data and visualize results for decision-making
• Translates customer objectives into an actionable technical roadmap and communicates findings to stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (equivalent experience may be considered)
• 8+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or AI/ML solution delivery, including experience leading technical teams or workstreams
• Advanced data science expertise, including designing and delivering AI/ML models and decision-making frameworks
• Advanced statistical analysis skills
• Experience using data analytics and visualization platforms such as Power BI and Palantir Foundry
• Demonstrated ability to measure, justify, and communicate the value of AI/ML solutions to senior stakeholders
• Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming
• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
• Plans and leads major technology assignments
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
• May supervise others
• An active Secret security clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field
• Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry and Palantir AIP (e.g., AIP Logic)
• Experience delivering AI/ML solutions in DoD or Army environments
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification
