Onix is seeking a Technical Lead – Data Engineering to lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-scale data pipelines. You will optimise SQL queries and Unix scripts, integrate data from multiple sources, and participate in Snowflake, GCP, and Teradata projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, establish best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field with 5+ years of software/ETL experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines for data warehouses.
• Proficient in SQL, Python and Unix shell scripting; cloud data tools preferred.

Responsabilités

Position: Technical Lead – Data Engineering

Duties:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes and data pipelines for enterprise-scale data warehouses.
• Design, develop, and optimise complex SQL queries and Unix/Linux scripts for large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Integrate and consolidate data from multiple source systems, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Participate in on-premises and cloud data warehouse projects (Snowflake, GCP, Teradata).
• Review and optimise ETL workflows and data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance in design and implementation.
• Establish data engineering best practices and conduct technical design reviews to improve system scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any Branch), Information Technology, Computer Applications/Applied Computer Science or Computer/Management Information Systems plus five (5) years of experience as Software Developer, Software Engineer, Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, or related position. Foreign educational equivalent accepted.

Offered Wage: $163,384 per year + health insurance (medical, dental, & vision), short & long
