Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA is seeking a Technical Implementation Specialist to lead on-site deployments of our medical product at customer locations. The role focuses on delivering technical installation, EMR integration, and system support, while coordinating with the implementation team to keep projects on schedule.

Travel up to 75%. The candidate will have a biomedical engineering background, 5+ years of medical device experience, and strong communication to work with hospital IT and clinical staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; biomedical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years related medical device experience.
  • FDA compliance experience is a plus.
  • Experience with EMR integration (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience delivering professional services to clinical environments.
  • Experience with hospital system integration and APIs.
  • Willing to travel up to 75%.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
  • English proficiency in speaking, reading and writing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical implementations at customer locations.
  • Identify, schedule and resolve installation issues.
  • Liaise between customer and Fresenius Kabi technical team.
  • Engage with customer technical groups for joint solutions.
  • Participate in customer technical support activities.
  • Analyze data from installed systems for improvements.
  • Coordinate with Implementation Project Manager to stay on schedule.
  • Deliver product presentations and support sales in RFI/RFPs and demos.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for streamlined support solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales on prospect engagements.
  • Travel up to 75%.
  • Attend local, regional, and national meetings.
  • Perform other reasonable work activities as assigned.

Job description

The Technical Implementation Specialist is responsible for the successful technical implementation of product at customer locations. Individuals in this role will lead technical implementations to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will live in the Mountain and Western region of the United States, near a major metropolitan city.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the technical implementation with customer counterparts (information technology, biomedical / clinical engineering / informatics)
  • Supports the implementation team to identify, schedule and solve technical installation and customization issues as they arise
  • Serves as the liaison between the customer and the Fresenius Kabi technical team for any issues that arise during the implementation
  • Engages with customer’s technical groups for joint solution development
  • Participates in customer technical support team activities as needed
  • Gathers and analyzes data on the installed systems for continuous product improvement efforts
  • Coordinates closely with the Implementation Project Manager to ensure that technical activities remain on schedule throughout the project.
  • Assists and delivers product presentations, as necessary, and provides sales support to include participating in RFI/RFPs and demonstrations
  • Collaborates with cross-functional work teams (engineering, marketing, manufacturing, operations) to define streamlined customer support solutions
  • Collaborates with sales on prospect engagements, RFP responses, etc. as required
  • Travels up to 75%
  • Attend local, regional, and national meetings as needed
  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Biomedical engineering degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience (medical device experience preferred)
  • FDA compliance experience is a plus
  • Deep experience with system installation and support environments in clinical settings
  • Abundant experience working with customers
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience providing professional services to clinical environments
  • Experience with integrating hospital systems including EMR integration (Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
  • Experience with web interfaces and APIs, used by enterprise grade systems
  • Working knowledge of Wi-Fi, networking, remote access techniques, VPNs, firewalls
  • Familiarity with SQL, report generation & databases
  • Experience with regulatory compliance for medical devices (complaint reporting, installation records, service records)
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Travel (Air/Auto) required and is based on the needs of the business
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs
  • Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment

  • The Company's primary business language is English. Additional Information

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year

Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 10% of the base salary. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
