Job summary

The U.S. Secret Service, Office of Technical Operations, Technical Security Division, seeks a Protective Events Specialist (Technical Hazards) to support security programs and protective operations through research, planning and policy development.

The role involves working with TSD managers, TEC, OPO, SSP and others; developing response plans and training with outside agencies for NSSEs and other national events. Starting salary is $121,785 with potential to $187,093 on the GS scale.

Qualifications

• This job requires experience with federal security programs and protective operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct administrative, technical research and analytical assignments in support of security programs and protective operations.
• Collaborate with TSD managers, TEC, OPO, SSP and others to develop and review policies and programs for NSSEs and other events of national significance.
• Coordinate high-level briefings with White House officials, DHS, other agencies, state/local partners, and foreign delegations; develop response plans and training exercises with outside agencies.
