Socket.dev's Strategic Data Solutions team seeks an experienced Technical Fraud Analyst to combat fraud in e-commerce. You will analyze complex patterns, partner with data scientists, and translate findings into actionable recommendations across the business.
You will track metrics, investigate anomalies, and help design analytic solutions for digital and physical goods. Strong SQL skills and a comfort with ambiguity are essential, with Python knowledge a plus.
The Strategic Data Solutions (SDS) team is looking for an exceptional and experienced fraud analyst who is passionate about combating fraud, waste & abuse through close collaboration with our highly skilled Data Scientists. As a Technical Fraud Analyst, you'll have solid business acumen in e-commerce fraud mitigation, a natural curiosity to dig when you see something, and the ability to effectively communicate with your peers and leadership. You'll enjoy and have experience analyzing complex fraud scenarios, using data from both internal and external sources. You'll also be skilled at interpreting data and providing recommendations and/or driving action across your team based on your findings. In this role, you'll combine your knowledge of fraud mitigation and market landscape with data science techniques/toolsets that you will learn in order to approach fraud mitigation in a new and exciting way. Your work may support physical goods or digital goods, or both areas as needed.
BS/BA or equivalent experience in relevant fieldSQL proficiency with the ability to query large, complex datasets to identify anomalies, patterns, and fraudulent behaviorProven excellence in investigating adversarial trends, identifying behavior patterns, and responding with the appropriate actions
