Industrious Ventures in El Segundo is seeking a Technical Editor to translate engineering capabilities into credible content for critical sectors like defense and aerospace. The right candidate will interface with the Growth team and report to the Senior Manager of Creative and Marketing, engaging in tasks ranging from developing go-to-market strategies to producing technical content for social platforms.
Ideal applicants will have experience in technical journalism or product marketing and possess exceptional communication skills. The job is fundamental in shaping Amca's messaging and visibility in the industrial ecosystem.
Amca is building America’s new industrial base. Since the 1990s, our ability to build new aviation and military systems and maintain the ones we already have has eroded. Today, the gap between what the nation needs to produce and what it is capable of producing is the largest it has been in generations.
To help close that gap, Amca rapidly develops and manufactures new critical components and subsystems required to build and sustain the planes, military vehicles, and core infrastructure America needs. Today, we operate seven factories nationwide, including our advanced prototyping and testing headquarters in El Segundo, and deliver avionics, hydraulic, and electrical components for platforms such as the F-35, F-16, F/A-18, 737MAX, 787, A320neo, A321, Mk-48, and M1 Abrams.
Amca's Technical Editor will be responsible for translating the company's extensive engineering and manufacturing capabilities into credible, technically-grounded content that reaches both engineering recruits and end customers in critical sectors, including but not limited to defense and aerospace. This person will sit on the Growth team, work closely with and report to the Senior Manager of Creative and Marketing.
The right candidate has worked directly in relevant fields such as technical journalism, product marketing, or engineering. He or she is inherently creative, an expert communicator, and exercises exceptional judgement.
We are growing very quickly. The scope of the role will therefore expand. To start, these are the core areas of work this person will own.
$100,000 — $170,000 USD
