Job summary

Paramount in Stamford, CT seeks a Technical Director, Broadcast Operations to lead the technical direction of television newscasts. The role requires hands-on TD experience and proficiency with Ross switchers, Inception, Xpression, graphics playback, and playout systems.

The candidate must be available for all shifts, weekends, overnights, and holidays, with flexible hours to meet tight deadlines and breaking news demands.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in the technical direction of television newscasts.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.
• Experience with ELC OPERATIONS – calling and cutting News Broadcasts, Camera Robotics, Audio Consoles, Playout Servers, and Graphics Playback.
• Extensive knowledge of video switchers, graphics systems, server playout systems, audio consoles and robotic camera systems is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications or equivalent.
• Must be available to work all shifts; including weekends, overnight, and holidays.

• Must be able to additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed
• Must have reliable mode of transportation to and from work
• Must be available to work 5 nights a week in office
