Job summary

Smuin Ballet is seeking an experienced Technical Director to join a 4-person production team and report to the Production Director. The role oversees technical stage elements for all productions and supports touring and rentals.

Ideal candidate has theater production and management experience, strong technical design/implementation skills, and team leadership ability. Location is the SF Bay Area with studios in Potrero Hill and performances in San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Mountain View.

POSITION SUMMARY

Smuin Ballet is hiring an experienced Technical Director to join as an integral member of a 4-person production team and reports directly to the Production Director. This role primarily oversees the technical stage elements of all Smuin Ballet productions, while also supporting the production department with touring and external rentals. An ideal candidate has a strong background in theater production and management, technical design and implementation skills, and team leadership skills.
