Meet the Team

Welcome to Cisco IQ and Cisco Cloud Control, two technologies helping transform how our customers manage, operate, and receive support for their Cisco environments. Cisco IQ brings together AI-powered insights, assessments, troubleshooting, automation, and personalized support to create a more connected customer experience and help shift support from reactive problem solving toward more proactive and predictive outcomes. Cisco Cloud Control provides a unified operational experience across Cisco technologies, bringing together visibility, inventory, topology, cross-domain insights, and AI-powered capabilities to help customers understand and resolve complex issues.

Our team is at the center of this evolution. We work with emerging technologies that combine cloud, networking, automation, and AI to solve increasingly complex customer challenges. As part of our team, you will collaborate with customers, engineering, product teams, and other technical experts while helping shape how these new capabilities are supported and delivered. If you enjoy solving difficult technical problems, learning new technologies, and being part of a team that is defining the future of Cisco support, you'll have an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Your Impact

As a Technical Consulting Engineer, you will provide critical technical assistance to customers by applying your expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Cisco IQ, Cisco Cloud Control, and the technologies and architectures they support. You will work across increasingly integrated environments that require strong systems-level thinking, cross-product knowledge, and the ability to understand how multiple components work together to deliver a complete customer experience.

You will collaborate closely with customers, partners, engineering, product teams, and internal stakeholders to drive issues to resolution and improve the overall customer experience. You will leverage AI capabilities, software, automation, telemetry, and diagnostic tools to accelerate troubleshooting, identify patterns, and move toward more proactive issue resolution. You will also build, utilize, and enhance lab environments to reproduce and resolve complex problems and help identify opportunities for product and support improvements.

Beyond individual case resolution, you will contribute to the broader success of the team by developing and sharing digital intellectual capital, including technical documentation, troubleshooting guidance, and training. You will help identify recurring issues, provide meaningful feedback to engineering, Product Management and delivery teams, submit effective escalations, and share technical insights with your peers. In this role, you won't just solve today's customer problems-you'll help build the tools, knowledge, and support experiences that make tomorrow's problems easier to solve.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors + 2 years of related experience, or Masters + 0 years of related experience, or 6 years of related experience; Associate level (e.g., CCNA) or equivalent relevant certification expected
  • Experience applying technical expertise to conduct advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex issues across specific technologies and architectures
  • Experience managing increasingly complex and integrated solutions in a highly technical environment requiring deep, cross-product knowledge and systems-level thinking
  • Experience leveraging AI capabilities, software, automation, and diagnostic tools to support quality, efficiency, and proactive issue resolution
  • Experience with AI, APIs (Rest and graphQL), virtualization (VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft Hypervisor, Red H KVM), AWS, and Splunk
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience collaborating with customers, partners, engineering, and internal stakeholders to drive resolution, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction
  • Experience building, utilizing, and enhancing lab setups of basic to moderate complexity to duplicate and resolve problems
  • Experience creating and refining digital intellectual capital, including documentation and training, for internal team use and within the technology area
  • Experience supporting coordination with engineering and delivery teams on recurring issues, submitting effective escalations, and sharing insights with peers
