Overview
In this position, you will work closely with customers to define geospatial solutions and oversee their implementation. You will address complex geospatial challenges by evaluating and translating customer business goals, objectives, and strategies. Your contributions will support Department of Defense clients across various industries, enabling decision-making through location intelligence. The team is collaborative, forward-thinking, and comprised of problem solvers, listeners, facilitators, guides, and trusted advisors to thousands of ArcGIS users. Esri offers a Relocation Assistance Program for this role in Quantico, VA.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform.
- Provide guidance on platform configuration and best practices to leverage Esri technology for better decision-making.
- Identify the value of location within customer workflows and maximize return on investment.
- Recommend strategies, architectures, and solutions; assist in implementation and migration planning.
- Present complex GIS demonstrations to diverse audiences within customer organizations.
- Work with customer IT teams to align technical objectives with business goals.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience supporting similar responsibilities.
- Experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions using the ArcGIS platform.
- Proven ability to leverage Esri software capabilities, including mapping, spatial analysis, 3D visualization, data management, and APIs.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, GIS, or a STEM field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in relevant fields.
- Programming experience with Python.
- Domain expertise in Defense and Intelligence workflows.
- Experience with cloud computing and service-oriented architecture.
- Understanding of IT concepts like databases, web services, and system architecture.
