Job summary

Esri is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Systems Engineer to design and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise environments for mission-driven customers. You will merge hands-on ArcGIS expertise with enterprise IT knowledge across Windows, Linux, cloud, containers, and security to deliver scalable GIS solutions.

The role requires 5+ years of enterprise GIS experience, TS clearance eligibility, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Esri offers relocation assistance to the Vienna, VA area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience implementing and supporting enterprise GIS systems.
• Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting technical issues in server-based systems.
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to customers, executives, and technical and non technical audiences.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• US citizenship with Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field.

Overview

Combine Enterprise Systems Engineering with Hands On Customer Delivery.

Join Esri`s Professional Services team and work directly with mission driven customers to design, deploy, migrate, troubleshoot, and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise environments.

You`ll combine hands-on ArcGIS expertise with enterprise IT knowledge across operating systems, cloud, containers, databases, storage, authentication, security, high availability, and disaster recovery. You`ll help customers navigate complex technology environments while building scalable and resilient enterprise GIS solutions.

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Vienna, VA area for this position.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience implementing and supporting enterprise GIS systems
• Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise
• Familiarity with troubleshooting technical issues in server-based systems
• Demonstrated ability to consistently apply a systematic, best practice driven approach to system engineering
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to customers, executives, and technical and non technical audiences
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field

Recommended Qualifications

• Master's degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field
• Knowledge of or interest in additional ArcGIS technologies
• Practical experience with one or more major cloud providers
• Experience with scripting and/or programming languages such as shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, or similar
• System administration experience with Windows, Linux, and/or Kubernetes platforms
• Knowledge of or interest in networking concepts including HTTP, TCP, TLS, DNS, firewalls, and proxy technologies
