Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an Application Consultant to lead and enable technology-driven transformations across industries. You will guide customers in deploying bespoke solutions, align processes with technology, and drive proactive migration and deployment practices for high-impact outcomes.

You’ll collaborate with a diverse team of architects, project managers, and SMEs to deliver scalable digital transformations. This role emphasizes strong technical leadership and client-facing guidance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale IT migrations and device management.
• Hands-on macOS device migration with Jamf/Kandji.
• Experience with ADE provisioning, PSSO, and policy configuration.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of device migration waves with runbooks and throughput.
• Own shift-level triage for ADE registration, enrolment, compliance and identity issues.
• Validate readiness and enforce go/no-go criteria for migrations.
• Oversee tenant transition steps for ADE migrations and timing coordination.
• Manage shift backlog using ticketing system; prioritize by risk and cutover schedule.
• Capture logs, screenshots, reports, and change records for audit governance.
• Coordinate shift handover packs ensuring continuity across three shifts.
• Collaborate with Devices Solution Architect to update runbooks and SOPs.
• Engage with vendor/tool support channels for escalations with evidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical delivery of device migration waves during your shift, ensuring operational control, adherence to runbooks and predictable throughput.
• Own shift‑level triage for device migration failures (Automated Device Enrolment (ADE) registration, enrolment, compliance, conditional access, certificate/device identity issues) and coordinate rapid remediation.
• Validate pre‑req readiness (device inventory, hardware hash readiness, targeting, Automated Device Enrolment (ADE) profile assignment, migration scheduling) and enforce “go/no‑go” criteria.
• Oversee execution of tenant transition steps for Automated Device Enrolment (ADE) where applicable (collection of hashes, deregistration/deletion sequencing, re‑registration timing, end‑user reset/re‑provision coordination).
• Manage the shift backlog in the agreed ticketing system; prioritise work items by risk, SLA and cutover schedule.
• Drive strong evidence capture: logs, screenshots, reports, change records and acceptance artefacts aligned to audit and client governance needs.
• Coordinate shift handover packs (work completed, exceptions, blockers, next actions, risk list) and ensure continuity across the three‑shift model.
• Partner with the Devices Solution Architect / discipline lead to update runbooks, troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures based on real shift learnings.
• Engage vendor/tool support channels as required (e.g., Automated Device Enrolment (ADE) / Kandji/IRU / Jamf escalation paths, migration tooling vendors where used), ensuring timely escalations with complete evidence.
• Lead post‑migration validation checks and hypercare support for device cohorts; reduce repeat incidents through root cause removal and runbook improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years exp.
• M365 tenant-to-tenant device migration experience, specifically macOS.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Jamf/Kandji, macOS provisioning, ADE, PSSO, compliance policies, and configuration profiles.
• Strong PowerShell and macOS scripting/automation skills.
• Experience troubleshooting device enrollment and migration issues.
• Experience with runbook-based 24x7 migration/factory operations, shift handovers, and documentation.
• Strong stakeholder communication, troubleshooting, and ownership skills.

Preferred Skills & Experienc e

• Experience with profile/workstation migration tools such as Jamf, Kandji/IRU, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Conditional Access and Microsoft device security controls.
• Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, MS-102, or SC-300.
• Experience with global/remote user migrations.
• Understanding of ITIL incident, problem, and change management.
