Technical Capability Leader

Responsibilities
Organizational and People Leadership
  • Lead discipline leaders in developing and executing talent strategy with optimal skill mix and career paths aligned with 18‑month roadmaps.
  • Build competency frameworks and training programs for Agile excellence.
  • Mentor and empower high‑performing leaders and cultivate a collaborative, learning‑oriented culture.
Process and Standards Management
  • Document and continuously improve delivery processes, templates, and best practices across all disciplines.
  • Standardize Agile and SAFe practices, ensuring consistency in ceremonies, tools and performance measures.
  • Implement governance and quality control mechanisms and lead process audits for compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline workflows through AI, automation and modern delivery tools.
Agile Delivery Enablement
  • Partner with Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers and Agile Coaches to ensure SAFe principles are followed and velocity maximized.
  • Champion continuous improvement across Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement and quality gates.
  • Remove systemic impediments that hinder efficiency or slow delivery cycles.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure discipline performance (throughput, quality, automation adoption).
  • Lead process audits to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of built‑in quality and technical excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
  • Act as liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Communicate progress, risks and opportunities with transparency for informed decision‑making.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Technical Skills
  • Expert knowledge of SDLC, QA methodologies, data management and solution support.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD and Agile metrics.
  • Capable of analyzing workflows and driving measurable improvement.
  • Execution‑focused with passion for operational excellence and innovation.

Experience
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience managing multidisciplinary technology teams in large, complex organizations.
  • 5+ years of experience leading leaders of discipline teams.
  • Proven record implementing and operating within a Scaled Agile or lean portfolio management environment.
  • Experience in process optimization, automation, and AI or emerging tool use to improve delivery performance.
Management
  • Strong people leader with track record of energizing and developing talent and building high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and change‑management skills.
Preferred Requirements
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Compensation Range: $199,100 - $353,700. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
