Overview

The Technical Business Systems Analyst supports transactional banking solutions and integrations with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle ERP, QuickBooks, and other client systems.

This role is responsible for gathering requirements, defining API specifications for Java/Spring Boot services, and documenting payment workflows including wire (real-time) and ACH (batch/file-based).

The analyst works closely with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to support data analysis, integration activities, and testing readiness.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for banking transactions and ERP integrations.
• Translate business needs into user stories, data mappings, API specifications, and workflow definitions.
• Support integration activities with ERP systems including SAP, Oracle ERP, QuickBooks, and similar platforms.
• Define and validate payment workflows such as wire (real-time, single transaction) and ACH (batch/file-based).
• Collaborate with development teams on API-driven Java/Spring Boot solutions.
• Analyze data, file formats, integration points, and backend system interactions.
• Support SIT and UAT cycles, including defect analysis and production readiness activities.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or payments environments (wire and ACH).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle ERP, QuickBooks, etc.).
• 3+ years of experience with REST APIs, Java/Spring Boot workflows, and JSON/XML.
• 3+ years of experience in requirements documentation, data mapping, and SQL analysis.
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with file-based integrations (CSV, XML, SFTP).
• Experience with API gateways or middleware platforms.
• Exposure to cloud environments or microservices architecture.
