Job summary

University Health System is seeking a patient-facing Radiology Support role in Texas. You will assist the radiology technologist, ensuring patient safety and comfortable care while expediting procedures and upholding our Guest Relations Program.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and some healthcare exposure; CPR certification is required for this role and prior radiology experience is a plus. This is an on-site position in Selma, Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months experience as a nursing attendant, patient transporter or other related health care experience preferred.
• Experience in a radiology working environment is preferred, with knowledge of safety issues.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates an understanding of all procedures performed, a thorough understanding of all work processes and safety issues in specific assigned area, and possesses excellent customer service initiatives. Recognizes patient's physical limitation and provides appropriate support to assure patient's safety. Helps to expedite patient's procedures by assisting the radiology technologist in any area of the radiology department. Promotes the University Health System's Guest Relations Program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Six months experience as a nursing attendant, patient transporter or other related health care experience preferred. Experience in a radiology working environment is preferred, with knowledge of safety issues.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required.
