Our client, Judge Group, Inc., is seeking an Adabas & Natural Systems Architect to join their MA21 team in Quincy, MA. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing mission-critical systems using Adabas and Natural technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Architecture & Design: Collaborate with the MA21 team to conceptualize and architect functional changes. Develop and maintain architectural blueprints for Adabas and Natural One applications. Ensure system scalability, performance, and security.
- Development & Implementation: Lead implementation efforts including code development, database design, and system configuration. Administer Natural development environments and support upgrades of Software AG products.
- Performance Optimization & Monitoring: Optimize systems for efficient data access and responsiveness. Monitor system performance using tools like Adabas Manager and Adabas Performance Monitor. Implement backup and recovery procedures using Adabas tools.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime. Provide guidance on Adabas and Natural best practices. Support database-related issues and collaborate with vendors on installations and configurations.
- Project & Stakeholder Collaboration: Support the MA21 Mainframe Migration project. Communicate effectively with business users, managers, and IT stakeholders. Ensure documentation and scheduling align with agency priorities.
- Software AG Product Management: Manage and support products including Adabas, EntireX Communicator, Adabas Encryption, Natural Construct, ConnX, Natural One, Entire Net-Work, Natural Security, and Entire Connection.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Adabas and Natural application development and architecture.
- Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and administration.
- Proficiency in Natural programming language and Adabas utilities.
- Experience with system management tools.
- Familiarity with SDLC and Jira Software.
- Knowledge of MA HIX or other State Health Exchanges is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Architecture, or related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience with Adabas/Natural and related technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in system architecture and development.
- Prior experience in government or healthcare domains is highly desirable.
