Role Summary

Job Description: Responsible for 5GC and EPC products deployment design and act as a technical lead in projects, providing leadership and expertise for integration teams. Collaborate with Mavenir platform team and public cloud architects to enhance data throughput and scalability of Mavenir NextGen Converged Core products on public cloud platforms. Create solution designs, including architecture and integration strategies using multi-vendor, cross-geo approaches. Offer key inputs for system requirements and architecture decisions. Participate in customer workshops, deliver technical solutions, and conduct solution presentations. Share knowledge, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively. Work with customer teams regularly to discuss and test new releases and features, and analyze capacity reports. Conduct performance evaluations and load analysis of Mavenir NextGen Converged core applications based on customer network forecasts, focusing on critical software parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with at least 6 of the following 5G packet core elements: AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF, AUSF, NSSF, PCF, SCP, or SEP.
• Knowledge of 4G EPC nodes (MME, SGW, PGW, PCRF, HSS).
• Understanding of 5G core SA architecture and SBA architecture.
• Manage work streams for N3, N4, and N6 interfaces, optimizing placement and functioning of the 5G UPF.
• Experience with DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) technologies.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end solutions using public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or IBM Cloud, including integration.
• Ability to assess architectural artifacts and enhance engineering productivity by deploying CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of telecommunications networking concepts, SDN/NFV, virtualization, cloudification, and edge computing.

Job Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience. Equivalent combinations are acceptable.

Experience (must have 2 years in):

• At least 6 of the specified 5G packet core elements.
• 4G EPC nodes (MME, SGW, PGW, PCRF, HSS).
• 5G core SA and SBA architectures.
• Work streams for N3, N4, N6 interfaces and policies for 5G UPF.
• DPI technologies.
• End-to-end solutions with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud).
• Deployment of CI/CD tools to improve engineering efficiency.
• Telecommunications networking, SDN/NFV, virtualization, edge computing.
