Job summary

Norm Ai in New York is hiring a Technical Accounting Senior Manager to own complex technical accounting matters, manage the monthly and annual close, and ensure accurate financial reporting across a growing multi-entity tech organization.

You will supervise outsourced bookkeeping, coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors, and build durable accounting policies, processes, and controls with leadership across Finance and senior management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with technical accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP; ability to document complex conclusions
• Experience partnering with external auditors and tax advisors
• Strong analytical, project-management, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-powered tools to automate tasks and improve workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical accounting matters and the monthly/annual close
• Coordinate with outsourced bookkeeping, auditors, and tax advisors
• Develop and implement scalable accounting policies, processes, and controls
• Translate contracts and transactions into accounting conclusions for multiple entities
• Monitor evolving accounting standards and assess implications for the company
