Job summary

Eastman in Mexico City is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting to support corporate financial decisions. You will work within the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance across the organization.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze financial data, and contribute to budgets and period-close processes while adhering to internal controls and company standards.

• Collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports for senior management.
• Provides technical accounting advice within area of expertise to help managers develop budgets and understand financial reports.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization’s financial resources and ensures that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. Reconciles accounts, posts journal entries, and maintains a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position. Collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports and accounting statements so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions. Reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flow, debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings. Provides technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
