Job summary

Eurocar is seeking an Automotive Service Technician in Costa Mesa, CA. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure safe operation, with guidance from the Service Manager.

Candidates should have strong customer service skills and be able to work in a fast-paced shop environment. Ideal applicants have at least 1 year of automotive diagnostics experience and a valid CA driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of automotive diagnostics experience.
• Experience with diagnosis, suspension, brake repair, and manual transmission preferred.
• Dealership or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles following manufacturer standards and policies.
• Communicate with service advisors about needed extra work.
• Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications and certifications.

In this position, you would be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. This includes performing inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and completing all repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards and company policies. You would report directly to the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent,required

Essential Duties, but not limited to:

• Performing work specified on repair orderin accordance withdealership and certification policies.
• Communicating with service advisors to inform customers of possibleadditionalwork needed.

• Clarifies description of problems with service advisor; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records.
• Completes thorough inspection of all vehicles for safety concerns,repairand maintenance needs.
• Completes repairs by describing problems and causes discovered, as well as repairs and servicesrequiredor recommended; enters repair documentation into the repair order service database system.
• Maintains a current CA driver's license.
• Updates job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications and other customer service or sales related periodicals.
• Enhancesorganization'sreputation by accepting ownership foraccomplishingnew and different requests.
