Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Program and start up HVAC/refrigeration and building automation controls.
  • Specify product for customer applications and coordinate with sales or reps.
  • Coordinate product returns for service or credit.
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting installed products.
  • Liaise with Service, Manufacturing, and Engineering on issues and new design input.
  • Support accounting on credit dispositions and assist Customer Service on technical matters.
  • Train new Territory Managers, Customer Service Reps, and Field Service staff.

Position Summary

Parker is seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to support the continued growth of our electronic HVAC and refrigeration business. This U.S.-based remote role is ideally suited for a candidate located with convenient access to a major airport.

The Technical Support Specialist provides field-based programming, installation, and training support for electronic products while coordinating technical matters with internal teams and external customers. Responsibilities include product specification, repair coordination, troubleshooting existing installations, and resolving customer issues in partnership with sales and distribution. The role collaborates closely with manufacturing, engineering, accounting, customer service, and technical support and services teams.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to program and start up refrigeration HVAC and building automation systems and controls.
  • Specifies proper product for customer applications in response to direct customer contact or indirect customer contact through a Territory Manager or Customer Service Representative.
  • Coordinates product return for service or credit.
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting non-performance installed products.
  • Liaison with Service Department to authorize warranty repairs, solicit customer purchase orders for non-warranty repairs and inform customers of installation issues which need to be rectified for proper operation of the product.
  • Liaison with Manufacturing and Engineering Departments on matters regarding product performance, product design and product quality. Participate regularly in the Customer Concerns and Satisfaction team.Provides input in new product design and development.
  • Supports Accounting Department in confirming disposition of credit for returned product.
  • Supports Customer Service Department in technical matters beyond the scope of the Customer Service Representative function.
  • Assists in the training of new Territory Managers, new Customer Service Representatives, and new Field Service personnel.
Qualifications
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in commercial / retail refrigeration systems service/ installation.
  • Good organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills (written and oral).
  • High technical aptitude and experience in mechanical and chemical applications.
  • Ability to travel for customer visits, training and for personal development opportunities.
  • Willing to work after hours for emergency customer issues (provide short-term assistance and information to on-call technicians).
  • Working knowledge of general Sales, Marketing, and Business.
  • Influence on decision-making processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Travel estimate 40%; must reside near major airport.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $77,875 to $129,950 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
