Job summary

AbbVie invites motivated students to join the 2027 Business Technology Solutions (BTS) Internship in Lake County, IL. This paid, 11-week summer program blends technical and business skills while delivering meaningful assignments impacting patients worldwide.

Participants will explore areas like AI/ML, data engineering, software engineering, and cybersecurity, working with energetic colleagues and experienced leaders across AbbVie locations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, AI or related majors with a minor or concentration in one of the above fields.
• Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Must be enrolled in university the semester following your internship and graduate within 1-year post internship.
• School or work experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Previous internship or related experience.
• Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
