JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Tech Risk and Controls Senior Associate to support the bank's data governance framework within the Global Technology Chief Data Office. You will expand coverage for risk and operational metrics, align with data priorities, and enhance data controls across classification, quality, protection, retention and privacy governance.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience in data governance or risk controls.
• Experience analyzing complex issues and communicating insights to senior stakeholders.

As a Tech Risk and Controls Senior Associate at J.P Morgan Chase, within The Global Technology Chief Data Office, you will contribute to supporting the implementation and maintenance of the bank's data governance framework. This includes expanding coverage for risk and operational metrics, aligning with strategic data priorities to drive compliance, and enhancing data controls. You will provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance by working closely with metrics leads in the Firmwide Chief Data & Analytics Office and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the GT CDO. By partnering with Technology Controls and Global Technology Data Owners, you will contribute to the effective management of data classification, quality, protection, storage, retention and destruction, use, privacy & AI governance. Your knowledge of data governance principles will enable you to drive innovative solutions and effectively

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the GT implementation and measurement of firmwide data management frameworks, procedures, processes and training in partnership with subject matter experts.
• Oversee Firmwide Data Assurance metrics, CDO operational metrics, and technology data-related control procedures
• Facilitate evidence aggregation for GT Data Management audits, regulatory exams or operational risk reviews
• Represent GT CDO in firmwide forums, committees and councils
• Deliver projects related to data governance metrics such as the implementation and change management in support of a new data related roles, including but not limited to training of end-to-end data management requirements and processes
• Drive changes required to process, procedures and/or controls aligned to Data Assurance policies.
• Maintain project plans, milestones, risks/issues, and status reports on a day-to-day basis.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

• Proficient in Alteryx, Tableau / Qlik Sense dashboard or business intelligence skills preferred
• Formal training in business controls, data/risk management or technology controls and 3+ years applied experience.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies, and communicate insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls, create procedure and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
• Possess data governance subject matter expertise preferred (including familiarity of GDPR, or similar data protection laws)
• Coordinate effectively across functional teams and other key stakeholders.
• Build strong relationship‑building skills, demonstrated consultative approach and proven skill in influencing others.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex issues concisely, communicating effectively and comfortably with senior stakeholders
• Demonstrates attention to detail with excellent organization skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Proficient in Python / Java Programming Languages and utilizing AI tools to automate existing processes
