Job summary

Fannie Mae is offering a 10-week Technology Program Internship in Reston, VA or Plano, TX, from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027. Interns contribute to software engineering, DevOps, data, or infrastructure projects and gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies including AI.

You will work on real projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and receive mentorship and professional development opportunities. A pathway to full-time employment may exist.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Curriculum-aligned student in CS/IT with strong curiosity and responsible use of emerging tech.
• Strong communication, leadership potential and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, and implementation of software and technology solutions.
• Support production applications: troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrades.
• Implement and maintain automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code where applicable.
• Build data pipelines, manage data platforms, monitor production logs, and triage issues.
• Apply AI and prompt-engineering techniques to improve processes and productivity.
• Write and maintain tests, create architecture diagrams, and support service desks and documentation.
