Job summary

Staffmark Group in Plano, TX is seeking a Communications Specialist to drive PR strategies for mobile and consumer products. The role manages external partners, media relations, and storytelling across US and international teams. Requires strong writing, negotiation, and independent decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site position offers a fully on-site schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and a $49/hour pay rate with benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience leading successful PR strategies is required.
• Experience leading PR strategies in consumer technology products and services is preferred.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently with little or no direction; strong decision-making skills and problem-solving skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• This role is required to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Execute PR strategies and plans for the mobile business units and its products
• Lead day-to-day management of key external partners
• Maintain relationships with top tier, influential consumer tech and lifestyle media
• Identify interesting story angles about the full mobile ecosystem and secure stories that have high potential to attract strong media coverage
• Take an open-ended mandate and give it analysis and structure, culminating in a concrete set of PR objectives and a clear way to achieve them
• Collaborate with US and Global offices and business groups in Korea and US
• Provide support/management of outside agencies
• Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual basis
• Assist in and if needed direct the team in lab and field trials related to introduction of products sold to the customer.
