Job summary

The Cato Institute is seeking a motivated Program Assistant/Manager to support the Technology Policy team. This hybrid position in Washington, DC, focuses on organizing and implementing plans for technology policy initiatives.

The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, and a commitment to classical liberal principles, assisting in coordination among internal teams, managing communication, and supporting policy efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of work experience for the assistant level and five years for the manager level.
  • Interest in technology policy and alignment with libertarian or classical liberal principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategic plans and goals for the tech policy program.
  • Coordinate current technology policy goals across internal teams.
  • Develop systems for extended outreach internally and externally.
  • Support experts for events and meetings.
  • Prepare board reports and manage expenses.
  • Provide administrative support including staffing events.
