Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a per-diem, PRN role in Washington, DC. You will assist the licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications, maintain inventory, and support record-keeping per facility policies.

The ideal candidate holds a DC Pharmacy Technician license, with at least one year of hospital experience and a relevant diploma or degree. Per-diem scheduling provides flexibility in a fast-paced hospital setting.

• Minimum one year hospital-based Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high-quality care in their community. This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Per-Diem, PRN)

Our ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintaining records. They will procure and distribute drug orders per physician request, pharmacist request or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols. They will perform medication dose calculations for adult and pediatric populations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the District of Columbia.
• Minimum one year experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting preferred.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Technical School, College or University preferred.
