Qualifications

• Candidate holds a bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science or engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong aptitude for understanding software-based technologies and patent concepts.
• USPTO registration preferred; otherwise plan to pass the patent bar within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications for electrical, software, and computer-implemented inventions.
• Collaborate with inventors, in-house counsel, engineers, and product teams to build strategic portfolios.
• Provide guidance on patentability, portfolio strategy, and risk management.
• Participate in invention-harvesting sessions and portfolio reviews for diverse clients.
• Supervise and mentor more junior team members; possible exposure to PTAB cases.
