Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Union City, California seeks a technically exceptional Patent Attorney to manage sophisticated portfolios for startups and established tech companies. You will collaborate with inventors and influence the firm's growth.

Responsibilities include preparing and prosecuting US and international patent applications across AI/ML, software, semiconductors, AR/VR, and medical devices, drafting claims, handling Office Actions, and leading disclosure meetings with startup founders

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of dedicated US patent prosecution experience.
• Master's degree required; Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Active registration with the USPTO required.
• Experience drafting and prosecuting AI/ML patent applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute US and international patent applications across AI/ML, software, semiconductor devices, AR/VR, medical devices, and diagnostics.
• Independently draft patent claims, respond to Office Actions, and handle PTAB appeals.
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches.
• Lead disclosure meetings with founders, executives, and engineers to identify patentable subject matter.
• Mentor junior technical staff and participate in firm strategic initiatives.
