Job summary

Henderson Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, in Henderson, NV, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist operating surgeons with instrumentation during procedures. This is a full-time, on-site role with varied shifts to support our trauma and surgical services.

Qualified candidates hold a CST, current BLS, and have completed an accredited surgical technologist program. Experience via US Public Health Service pathways is noted in the qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Current CST certification from NBSTSA or per NRS 449.24185; current BLS certification.
• Engaged in practice in health care facilities before January 1, 2018 may be considered.

Qualifications

Shift: FULL TIME VARIED

Education

High School Graduate or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a surgical technologist program that is accredited by a national accrediting organization or a successor organization or must have successfully completed a training program for surgical technologist administered by the US Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard.

License/Certification

Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or per NRS 449.24185, sec. 1.(c)"Engaged in the practice of surgical technology in a health care facility before January 1, 2018". Current BLS Certification.

Other

Participation in AORT encouraged. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patient.
