Job summary

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital in Tucson, AZ, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician for nights (7pm–7:30am). You provide basic nursing care, aid with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment under RN supervision.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent; related study in nursing/psychology; EMT/CNA/Medical Assistant training preferred. AZ fingerprint clearance and 21+ years old required.

Qualifications

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PVBH is an 84-bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. The Behavioral Health Technician provides basic nursing care, aids with activities of daily living, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, under the direction and supervision of the Hospital Supervisor and the assigned RN to the unit.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Minimum two (2) years of education focused on nursing, psychology, social service, medicine or related field preferred. Completion of EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, Security training program or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Other requirements: Must be able to obtain AZ Fingerprint clearance card (Level one) and are at least 21 years of age during application of card
